For too many of our kids, screen time has become an at-home solitary experience where we as concerned parents wonder if it’s an inhibitor towards them making social connections. At the same time, from their perspective, I get it- that screen doesn’t mock them or act cruel towards them as many of their peers do.
It’s with that in mind that we’ve started our Gaming Social Club for neurodiverse teens and young adults at Valhallan Esports in Huntington. We seek to get the kids out of the house, have them around similarly situated peers, and use gaming as a foundation for fun and friendships. Our gaming arena has a cool ambiance that your kids will find attractive and makes it easier to get them out of the house (which I know can be difficult)
