The Garden Conservancy Open Days program shares five private gardens open to the public in Cutchogue, Jamesport, Mattituck, and Southold. No reservations required; rain or shine. 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. most locations. Highlights include heirloom apples and espaliered fruit trees, native plantings for attracting wildlife, vegetable gardens, water features, hundreds of container plantings, a formal knot garden, a tufa garden of miniature conifers and alpines, and a green roof.
