Join us for this 4 hour hands on workshop and learn to capture nature in a uniquely beautiful way! This will be an exploration of printing Fish by the ancient Japanese technique of Gyotako (Gyo – meaning fish and taku meaning rubbing or impression). This is a very exciting method of printing fish where much detail is captured in the print. We will work primarily from fish replicas, but there will be a real fish for those who would like to try printing the authentic way. We will print on rice paper using ink. Prints would be suitable for framing.
We will also print from Nature’s objects. This will include leaves, branches, shells, etc. What you see in the finished print is often more detail than you would see casually observing the object itself.
Members $55 or Non-Members $65
