Date & Time
The vast majority of our Jewish ancestors came to the United States during one of two great migrations: German Jews during the period 1820-1880, and a larger migration of E-astern European Jews between 1880 and the early 1920's. The goal of this program is to help you rediscover your ancestor's history from the time your family came to the U.S. as well as trying to go back to the "old country." Nolan will also discuss resources available to assist in trying to find information on famiy members that did not come to America and may have been lost during the Holocaust.
Nolan Altman is a past President of the Jewish Genealogical Society of Long island and a Board member of the International Association of Jewish Genealogical Societies.
This program is open to the public and Free of charge. Please call the Temple Israel office at (516) 239-1140 to register, or email office@tilny.org.
