The Atlantic Marine Conservation Society (AMSEAS) is teaming up with NYS Parks and members from local indigenous tribes to host a centennial celebration in honor of “I Love My Park Day” at Hallock State Park Preserve on Saturday, May 4, 2024 from 10am-3pm. The event will include a trail walk to learn about the Native and Natural Heritage of the North Fork, a beach cleanup, tree planting, and a collective prayer ceremony led by members of the local Indigenous community. Beach cleanup supplies will be provided, but the public is encouraged to bring gloves. Participants can register using the following link: https://reg.resport.io/s/step1.jsp?r=6109031621984256.
