The seventh season of Stephen C. Widom Cultural Arts at Emanuel continues on Sunday, April 28, 2019 at 3:00 p.m., with a conversation between Wendy Sherman and Philip Mudd moderated by NY1 anchor Errol Louis.

Under secretary for political affairs, U.S. Department of State (2011–2015); Global Affairs Contributor, NBC News and MSNBC; founding partner and senior counselor, The Albright Stonebridge Group; and Harvard professor, Ambassador Wendy R. Sherman brings to every opportunity over three decades of experience in business, international affairs and politics. She is the author of Not for the Faint of Heart: Lessons in Courage, Power, and Persistence.

Philip Mudd is a senior research fellow at the New America Foundation and the George Washington University’s Homeland Security Policy Institute, the first deputy director of the National Security Branch, and the former deputy director of the CIA’s Counterterrorist Center. Mudd is the author of Takedown: Inside the Hunt for Al Qa'ida and The HEAD Game: High Efficiency Analytic Decision-Making and the Art of Solving Complex Problems Quickly.

Following the dialogue, there will be a Q&A, book signings and refreshments.
