Jane Martin is an award-winning American photographer and multi-media artist represented in museum, corporate and private collections
worldwide, including The Parrish Art Museum, Islip Art Museum and Guild Hall Museum.
Reception and Gallery Talk: Friday, July 6, 5:30 – 7:00 p.m at Quogue Library.
Forces of nature have been an enduring theme in Martin’s work: water, fog and the female form. Obsessed with nature’s power she is drawn to its diverse qualities: its awe-inspiring force, its sensual and feminine nature, its depth and mystery. Water in particular is shown to be furiously puissant as it flows, gushes and crashes. Ever-changing yet constant, she is attracted to its power and sensuality. From enormous
surf of the East End to the stillness of lakes on the eastern most point of Australia her photographic work ranges from the figurative to the abstract. For more information about Martin’s work please visit www.janemartinart.com This exhibit will be on display at Quogue Library through July 30th.
