Description

May the 4th be with you as we celebrate Star Wars Day with stories drawn from the many themes in the Star Wars universe: Rebel causes. Training hard to do something you did not know you could do. Connecting to the Force. Discovering something truly shocking about a family member.

(mostly) TRUE THINGS is a game wrapped in a true storytelling show, with a side of music and some improv. Its an evening that offers a full course of entertainment - comedy, heart, amazing improv and game! Four storytellers tell true stories from their own lives, but three of them weave in a few subtle little lies. The audience gets to question the storytellers, then votes for the person they think told the story with no lies at all. There are prizes involved, if you can believe a thing like that.

Hosted by storyteller/improviser and show creator Jude Treder-Wolff (Generation Women, PBS Stories From The Stage, RISK!) the show also features improv scenes inspired by the stories, performed by Lifestage improvisers. Stories by)

Adam Grundfest, Director of Member Engagement at Sid Jacobson JCC, attorney, educator, camp director, and business leader.

Mindy Pfeffer, an award-winning actor/playwright/solo performer. Her solo showThere’s Iron in Your Future - about training for an Ironman triathlon - was seen at the NYRR RunCenter, Omega Institute, and various fringe festivals.

Lydia Franco-Hodges, an Assistant Professor of Practice at Stony Brook University who facilitates and designs in-person workshops and programs strengthening the communication skills of STEMM professionals.

Barb Ponella, storyteller (Now You're Talking, Risk!) and singer/songwriter. She and her husband are part the Organization of Open Mic Performance Artists, that hosts many Long Island open mics and organizes charitable events.
