"The New York Open returns to NYCB LIVE, home of the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum for the second year in 2019. The inaugural event in 2018 welcomed three world top 20 players and legendary doubles team the Bryan Brothers to Long Island for this ATP World Tour event. Top seed Kevin Anderson rallied back from a first-set loss to win the inaugural singles title in a third-set tiebreaker in the only indoor championship held in the United States annually.
Previously located in San Francisco, San Jose and Memphis, the tournament’s field over the years has included John McEnroe, Pete Sampras, Andre Agassi, Andy Roddick and more. McEnroe and 2017 U.S. Open champion Sloane Stephens took the court for the tournament’s Opening Night premiere." - NYCB LIVE
