   Temple Israel of Lawrence cordially invites you to join us for a Zoom talk 'PASTRAMI ON RYE: AN OVERSTUFFED HISTORY OF THE JEWISH DELI with Ted Merwin, Ph.D., on Wednesday, July 15, 2020, at 7:30 p.m.

   In 1931, more than 1,500 kosher delis dotted New York City, and today fewer than 20 serve the five boroughs. Dr. Merwin examines the reasons for this decline.
