"Montauk Point State Park will host a series of walks to observe wintering seals. Beginning in December and continuing through March 2019, a State Park naturalist will lead visitors on a leisurely beach walk to an area where up to four species of seals can be observed. Along the way, there will be opportunities to see many winter birds and to explore marine geology. Binoculars are recommended.
The walk is approximately 3 miles long and will take 2-3 hours to complete. Participants are asked to please dress appropriately, wear footwear appropriate for hiking, and meet at the Montauk Point Lighthouse Grill and concession stand at least 10 minutes prior to the start time.
