Selfie Art Journal with Mixed Media, Winter 2020, Sess. 2

There are many ways to create a self-portrait. Working in a 6” x 4” sketchbook (landscape format), students will learn how to begin and create a visual art journal for self-expression. Led by a prompt at the start of each class, students will build their pages from the ground up. We will use creative writing, “selfie” image transfers, drawing, acrylic paint, stencils, and other materials to create pages that tell our story. Some basic color theory and drawing techniques will be covered. No previous experience required.
