For the Coastal Flood Statement, late Friday night. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in the more vulnerable locations near the waterfront and shoreline. Some roads and low lying properties including parking lots, parks, lawns, and homes and businesses with basements near the waterfront will experience minor flooding.

The tri-annual and award-winning Long Island Restaurant Week (www.longislandrestaurantweek.com – (631) 329-2111) will help fill the seats of Long Island restaurants this Spring!  With Covid on the wane, the vernal promotion will take place from Sunday, April 24th to Sunday, May 1st, and there are several prix fixe options ready to cure the pandemic blues.

 

How it Works – More Prix Fixes!

Restaurants may offer a $20 two course lunch; a $25 three-course dinner menu, a $35 three-course dinner menu or a $42 three-course dinner prix fixe and restaurants may offer one, two or all these options throughout the promotion. Each participant is required to offer three options per course (appetizer, entrée, and dessert) for dinner. The promotion runs Sunday to Sunday (except Saturday night when it only must be offered until 7 pm).

Look for over 100 restaurants across Long Island to participate.

 

On the East End, several restaurants are participating. In Southampton, visit Southampton Publick House and Union Steak & Sushi. In Water Mill, Calissa is on board. The Cooperage Inn in Baiting Hollow; Riverhead’s Bistro 72 and the Preston House (all close to the Tanger Outlets). On the Docks in Aquebogue and Legends in New Suffolk are also participating. Organizers expect other local restaurants to sign on, and restaurants interested in participating may visit the restaurant week website and click the restaurant sign up tab.
