As a child, Bozenna Urbanowicz Gilbride saw both parents taken away by the Gestapo. In her second memoir, “Waiting for Mama” (her first was “Children of Terror”) she tells of her mother’s journey through the evils of the Holocaust, her determination to see her children again, and the love that gave her the courage to endure the horrors of the Nazi concentration camps and the cruelties of the Stalinists. Ms. Gildbride, who has received numerous awards and commendations for her work in educating children and others about the Holocaust, will share her memories of her mother and others who were caught in those terrible times. Co-sponsored with the Rogers Memorial Library.
