Description

Join us for a FOUR class series that will give you the foundation for rug hooking. Classes will be every Saturday in Feburar (3, 10, 17, 24), 11am to 3pm (please bring a bagged lunch). This beautiful folk art is practical as well as a creative outlet. Instructor Sarah McNamara of Paisely Studio will guide you through setting up your frame, the history of rug hooking, techniques and finishing. A 7x9 inch sweet little cow on linen will be completed by the end of the four weeks.

  • Students will need a hook and a frame and a pair of scissors. You are welcome to bring your own or basic wooden frames will be available for $24, and hooks for $12.
  • The materials for the rug itself will be $35 which includes the pattern on linen, and the cut wool.
  • Class tuition is $140 for members or $150 for non-members
