Description

The New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation is pleased to announce the 6th Annual Great Jack-o’-Lantern Sail on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at Belmont Lake State Park. Festivities begin at 3:00PM; the Jack-o’-Lanterns will set sail at approximately 6:15PM. 

Participation in the Jack-o’-Lantern Sail is limited to the first 50 carved pumpkins. Pumpkins must be between the size of a soccer ball and a basketball, and dropped off on the day of the event between 10:00am and 2:00pm at the Belmont Lake State Park Boat Dock. Registration is required for pumpkin drop off, please call (631) 321-3510. 

In addition to the Jack-o’-Lantern Sail, there will be a kid friendly spooky house, balloon twisting, trick or treating, Frankenstein on stilts, a petting zoo, children’s games and more. Everyone is welcome to join this spooky celebration and wear a Halloween costume. All activities are free!
