Have you ever wondered how clouds are formed? Or how the water moves the sand on the beach? It’s Science Education Day, so stop in at the Wilderness Visitor Center or the Fire Island Lighthouse to pick up materials for a variety of activities that will help you learn about the science of the ocean and atmosphere. A park ranger will be on hand to answer questions and assist if needed.
Participants will be asked to follow CDC and local public health guidelines for COVID-19. We ask the public to be our partner in recreating responsibly, by adopting social distancing practices and by wearing a face covering when social distancing cannot be maintained.
