One River School Welcomes You to Winter Fest
Art School Opens Its Doors For Free Workshops and Activities on
SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 2nd
Woodbury, NY: One River School of Art + Design is pleased to announce its first Winter Open House event since opening its doors in March 2019. After almost a year of transforming art education in the community, One River is hosting a free event featuring art and design workshops for kids, teens, and adults taught by our expert teachers. In addition to attending workshops, visitors of all ages can create a mesmerizing pour painting, play fun games, and enter a raffle to win art materials, all while warming up with some coffee or hot chocolate.
The one hour studio and digital workshops will be packed with learning, art, and most importantly, fun! All workshop attendees will complete a finished artwork to take home that they will feel proud of. Workshops and classes at One River start at age three and go all the way up to adults. Be sure to also check out the colorful mixed-media collage paintings of Joan Reutershan in the gallery. Reutershan’s solo exhibition, BKNY Street View, is on view through April 2020 and is based on her experience of the streetscape in New York City, especially Brooklyn. The One River exhibition program has become a national taste-maker for emerging artists across the country and provides regular opportunity for the community to engage with contemporary art and artists.
