Modern life can seem so complex that we often feel we are struggling against a mass of daily problems and difficulties. We feel like we are being poked and prodded from all directions. Every day we encounter challenging situations and arduous interactions with others that cause us to become testy, curt, annoyed and restless. On occasion when anger and frustration take hold in our mind, we may actually lose our cool altogether and blow up at friends, family, colleagues and neighbors, which only leads to more problems. Through training in meditation, we can learn how to respond with patience to daily disturbances and let go of frustration, irritation and anger. Then we will be able to remain peaceful and calm, no matter what happens.
