We are a friendly group of photographers. Our club is all about learning photography.
Please come and check us out for free. If you decide you would like to join, dues are a reasonable $40 per year.
Island Photo Group is going back to basics.
Starting in September 2014 we are changing back to our original goals of a learning based club. What this means is NO MORE COMPETITION Nights. Instead we will be looking at photos from a educational standpoint.
Our First Meeting of each month will focus on personal instructive attention to your photography. We will be working one-on-one, talking about tricks and tips and planning together what we want to learn.
Our Second Meeting of the month will be Member Presentation Night, NO SCORES, just helpful comments and suggestions. Makers will be encouraged to comment and participate in discussing their photos. Members can bring prints or digitals on a thumb drive. They can be shown individually or as a group if there is a theme.
The Third Meeting of the month will be planned at the first meeting. Members that want to do a demo, or have questions about how to do something. Were hoping to tap the talent we have on hand or if you have outside presenters you want to see we can do that too.
