Buddha’s key insight into why we suffer, is because we grasp – at people, places and things. We don’t suffer because we’re bad, or because we’re being punished for inappropriate behavior. Suffering doesn’t come randomly out of nowhere. Buddha said we experience suffering because we grasp at things being truly existent when they really aren’t. This series of classes will zoom in on a powerful opponent to our habit of grasping – meditating on subtle impermanence. Just like a flash of lightening, nothing stays the same even for a moment, so realizing the truth of impermanence deep in our hearts leaves a powerful imprint and serves as a practical way to keep us anchored in the present moment with positive and pure minds.
